Our partnerships with local communities, government leaders, and businesses provide unique insights into how to make this vision a reality.
The Manager, Hub Development will support IMT’s Business Engagement strategy through management of the Building Performance Partnership (BPP) network. This network of high-performance building hubs is designed to implement energy efficiency policy by delivering location-based training, resources, and innovative leadership practices to private sector real estate stakeholders. Much of this work is in jurisdictions pursuing Building Performance Standards (BPS) or other jurisdictions with aggressive climate/decarbonization goals. The Manager, Hub Development will work closely with the Director, Market Development to develop and implement the BPP strategy as guided by IMT’s organizational strategic plan. The Manager will lead the day-to-day execution of the BPP tasks, support network growth through recruitment activities and a defined needs assessment process, and assist as needed supporting location-based projects, including as part of the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). The Manager will also have opportunities to contribute to other projects within IMT’s private sector engagement strategy to drive market adoption of high-performing low carbon buildings and improve community livability where these buildings are located.
Responsibilities

- Develop and/or synthesize and present information related to the BPP and related Hubs through public presentations and written resources.
- Work with participating BPP Hub directors to create and share templates, best practices, and lessons learned across the network as applicable.
- Contribute and/or lead content development of projects that may include grant applications, RFP responses, educational tools and resources, and industry blogs.
- Work collaboratively with IMT’s program teams throughout the organization to identify and facilitate ways that local governments and their Hubs can partner with, incentivize, and motivate the private sector to decarbonize buildings.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of IMT’s business engagement work as a whole.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3-5 years of work experience in project management and/or resource development, including experience or demonstrated passion for environmental management, sustainable development, building decarbonization, or related fields.

Building a just and equitable low carbon future involves building a just and equitable team.
