Boundary Stone Partners (BSP) is seeking a highly motivated Director, Federal Funding to join our fast-growing team of transportation, climate, and clean energy experts in our Washington, D.C. office. This position will work directly with our Federal Funding team as well as across other practice areas in climate and clean energy policy.
What You’ll Do
As part of a client team, support and provide strategic counsel and craft and execute legislative, regulatory, and political strategies to achieve federal policy goals
Independently manage significant research or analysis projects for major clients, and present analysis and conclusions to clients
Work with Partners, Senior Vice Presidents, and Vice Presidents to design legislative strategy and advocacy efforts tailored to client needs
Proactively track policy issues or legislative, synthesize information, and anticipate what type of data or information clients will require
Build relationships with key policymakers both on Capitol Hill and in federal agencies and with other influential federal government-oriented stakeholders
Prepare clients for Congressional hearings, federal agency rulemakings, and other federal legislative and regulatory proceedings
Represent clients in national trade associations and industry coalitions
Build third-party political, advocacy, NGO, and industry allies to support strategic policy objectives
Monitor legislation that impacts BSP clients and work with relevant BSP team members to execute campaigns in support or opposition to such legislation, as necessary
Plan and execute advocacy strategies on Capitol Hill and throughout the Administration, which includes working with clients, managers, and associates to develop any and all collateral (i.e., research, one-pagers, etc.) needed in furtherance of advocacy efforts
Gather intelligence about political and policy issues through industry, Congressional, and Administration contacts
Monitor legislation that impacts BSP clients and work with relevant BSP team members to execute campaigns in support or opposition to such legislation, as necessary
Represent Boundary Stone Partners at political events.
