CREO seeks a mission-driven, strategic, and passionate person for the role of Sector Manager, Sustainable and Healthy Chemistry to expand CREO’s core programs, research, and consultations on chemistry and materials.
This role will spearhead CREO’s efforts to increase the investor base for sustainable and healthy chemistry. Globally, chemicals and materials represent $5 trillion of economic activity every year but the industry is fraught with harmful unpriced environmental externalities. There is an urgent need for investment capital to transition how the world makes and uses chemicals and materials towards an economy that is vastly cleaner and healthier for ecosystems and people. CREO envisions a scope of work that spans a range of traditional ‘green’ chemistry impacts. Thus, CREO will aim to drive investment into molecules, materials, and processes that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, lessen toxics exposure to people and ecosystems, and prevent the global accumulation of harmful chemicals and plastics.
The Sector Manager will be CREO’s expert on chemistry and materials, chartered to deliver analysis relevant to investors – both CREO members and other capital markets stakeholders – and to colleagues on CREO’s team. This individual will deliver data-driven insights with incisive analysis and express a viewpoint through papers, conference presentations, and meetings. The scope covers all geographies (Americas, EMEA, APAC) and incorporates multiple asset classes.
As a member of the research team, this role will work closely CREO’s advisory, development, programs, and deal teams. The Manager, Sustainable and Healthy Chemistry will report to the Global Head of Research.
